Some New Type for the Ideas Illustrated media pack.....
05 January 2010
Ideas Illustrated is a new quarterly publication from YCN celebrating new creative talent and ideas. A visually loaded showcase sits alongside stimulating, and specially commissioned, editorial pertinent to each issue’s theme (here - Money).
Each issue also serves as an overall canvas for an illustrator invited by YCN to respond to its theme and create artwork to pepper its pages. This final visual layer is printed as a special 5th colour, and for the ‘Money’ issue we have invited London based image maker Jamie Brown to pick a colour (Pantone 3385c) and take a coin on a journey.
Ideas Illustrated has a circulation of 10,000. 5000 copies are distributed directly to figures across the creative industries internationally, and 5000 sold through YCN and partnering outlets. The publication is intended to support YCN’s day to day agency work, and to stimulate anyone interested in creativity and new ideas.

I am the latest illustrator commissioned by YCN to produce original artwork within the 72 Rivington Street “stripes” identity. I decided to use the markings to form a series of tasty club sandwich screen-prints each individually finished with a hand cut vinyl garnish.........

The Green Giant; complete with added aubergine, houmous, red onion, garlic sauce and green olives.
